Email Interview w/Heavy Metal Rockers Sister Sin!

For those of us new to Sister Sin, can you tell me how the group was formed? How the band name was chosen and what it means?

Chris: It was me and Dave who formed the
band, and we pretty much found the other members through ad’s. The name of the band was Dave’s idea. At the time he was listening to a band called Machinegun Kelly, (great band by
the way) and they had a song called Sister Sin. Nothing’s pure, not even your sister...haha.

How would you describe Sister Sin music to someone who has never heard of the band?

Chris: hmmm...it’s only rock ‘n’ roll, no more no less.

First impressions mean everything. Give me one word to describe each of you.

Jimmy- HARD, Dave-DRIVEN, Liv-SEXY and Chris-MOTHERFUCKER

Give me the best quality and worst habit of each of you.

Chris: Best quality would be, and that stands for all of us, we never give in, no matter what. Worst habits? We got a little to much of those, so I guess that stays between us in the band.

Who does the song writing?

Chris: Our songs are mostly written by me, though all the arrangements are done by all of us as a band.

What impact do you want your music to have on your fans?

Chris: Get drunk and have fun I guess. I think our music is a just perfect for that.

How would you describe your stage show?

Chris: It’s raw, from the streets kind of thing.

How did each of you become interested in becoming a musician?

Liv: I’ve always been into dancing and that kinda thing. And then one day I just started singing...while I was dancing.

Jimmy: My mother, she has always inspired me.

Chris: I lost my head one day when I was a kid, and I guess since that day I’ve been singing the blues. I’m not so sure that I wanna find that head of mine again.

Dave: In my early teens I used to watch a lot of adult movies, so I guess the music there just kind of grabbed me.

What bands are you listening to right now?

Chris: Little bit of Stooges and Nick Drake.

One word to describe your music.

Chris: Uppercut

Favorite band/artist of all time?

Chris: Phil Lynott

Musical Influences?

Chris: Motley Crue, Wasp, Judas Priest etc.

If you could tour with any band who would it be and why?

Chris: Bob Marley and the wailers and Sister Sin. Now we’re talking rebel music.

Liv: female, does sing, don’t have a car, don’t smoke, love’s candy

Jimmy: male, play guitar, do smoke, loves vodka, do own a penis pump (just for fun)

Chris: male, play bass, do sing in the shower, do not like sleepovers at jimmy's house, a sucker for beer & whiskey

Dave: male, play drums, do own a car, do like sleepovers at jimmy’s, sucker for white russians

Chris: Shangri-la by Mother Love Bone.

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Chris: Nothing, after all my psychological treatments I’m perfectly happy with who I am.

What is your favorite Sister Sin song to perform live??

Chris: All of them, but White Trash is a great one.

How do you feel about MySpace?

Chris: In our case it’s perfect to get our music out there.
