7/4/06 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Originally started on Motley.com Crüefest was designed to bring fans of the band Mötley Crüe together for a night of fun and mayhem and help raise awareness and funds for cancer research through the Skylar Neil Foundation (partnered with the T.J. Martell Foundation).  Since its inception, the Crüefest has become an annual event in Hollywood.  Five years later, and still going strong, cities such as Vancouver and Chicago now play host to their own Crüefests, with more cities such as Dallas and Orlando to be added in 2007.  Sponsors and bands from signed to unsigned, Crüe cover to original, local to international, have joined in on the effort to make the Crüefest the best possible parties on the planet.  In November of 2006, we are bringing a Crüefest to New York City.

All proceeds raised during Crüefest will go directly to the following charities:

The Skylar Neil Foundation:   Founded by Mötley Crüe vocalist Vince Neil, after watching his beautiful daughter Skylar Lynnae succumb to cancer at the age of four.  Through his grief, Neil recognized his power through celebrity to do something significant to help eradicate this deadly disease from the planet.  To date, The Skylar Neil Memorial Foundation has raised almost $1,000,000 for cancer, AIDS and leukemia research and awareness.  The Foundation then donates the money raised exclusively to the T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS research.

Running Wild in the Night:  Mötley Crüe founder and bassist Nikki Sixx knows first-hand what it’s like to have to fend for yourself on the streets, which is why he has launched “Running Wild in the Night,” a fundraising initiative for Covenant House to help at-risk youth on the streets of California and around the world. "Running Wild in the Night" will be a creative arts program, with an emphasis on music, to enable Covenant House to help homeless and displaced young people discover and nurture their talents.  Covenant House provides services in 21 cities, 15 in the U.S., to homeless and runaway youth, including advocacy, health care, education, vocational preparation, drug abuse treatment and prevention programs, legal services, recreation, transitional living programs, street and community outreach and aftercare.

Drummer Tommy Lee’s choice of charity is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is one of the world's premier centers for research and treatment of catastrophic diseases in children, primarily pediatric cancers.  Founded by entertainer Danny Thomas and opened in 1962, St. Jude is supported primarily by funds from volunteer contributions raised by its national fund-raising arm, ALSAC, which was established by Danny Thomas expressly for the purpose of funding St. Jude. The hospital also receives assistance from federal grants (mainly through the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute), insurance and investments.

Guitarist Mick Mars’ choices of charities are for the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis – a form of chronic inflammation of the spine and the sacroiliac joints, which is the disease Mick has suffered with for over two decades.
