Anzi Destruction is the sexy, young, wild and talented front man (singer, guitarist, songwriter) of Stereo Junks, yet another awesome band from Finland! He was kind enough to take time out of their tour to answer some questions for us! Thank you to Anzi! I look forward to bringing you more about this band in 2006!

jo:  For people not familiar with Stereo Junks or the music, can you tell me how the band got together & how you came up with the name of the band?

Anzi: i was forming a band back in 2002 i bumped into jake. After many shady moments we found rip and johnny (ex-guitar player). Deville came into
band lil over year ago. The meaning behind stereo junks...it junks your head and gets you high. Basically our music gives you good feelings which is the most important thing in rock n roll!

jo: How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard Stereo Junks?

Anzi: Hard boner suicide rock n roll! It's a cross between 70's punk and 80's sleaze rock updated into this day!

jo: Give me one word to describe each of the guys in the band including yourself.

Anzi: Rip Radioactive (drums): Nutcase. Jake Von Junk (bass): Spaced. Deville (guitar): ROCK N ROLL. Me: Soul

jo: What made you become a musician?

Anzi: well it has come kinda automatically. There's nothing else that i have wanted to do in my live except music.when i was something like twelve i wanted to become a professional
skateboarder but that idea didn't last so long. RnR took the last part of my soul when i was 15 years old after that there hasn't been no turning back! hahaa good that way.

jo: What is your best quality? Worst habit?

Anzi: i always wanna have something to do. That's the best and the worst quality.

jo: What do you want your fans to get out of your music?

Anzi: Good feelings. Love, hate, RnR, fade all the shit all that but i also want everybody to remember that every moment in life only comes once...Enjoy! You can't do anything again tomorrow.

jo: What is the biggest misconception about you?

Anzi: you'll know when you see and hear me.

jo: Musical Influences?

Anzi: Stones, NY Dolls, Dead Boys, GNR, Hanoi Rocks etc. Basically 70's and 80's rock but i also listen new music latest "good" shit very much. From that
combination comes Stereo Junks the next step after 80's rock!

jo: Best concert you ever attended as a fan?

Anzi: Really hard to say. Rolling Stones few years ago and Brides Of Destruction had also a great gig last summer...

jo: Favorite Song to perform live?

Anzi: Suicide Angels and Cold Blood. And one new tune called "Live Before You Die" which we perform first time on tour now!
 
jo: What is the first thing you do in the morning and the last thing you do before you go to sleep no matter where you are?

Anzi: First i try to wake up as fast as i can and last thing get the girl in my bed to move over.

jo: Put the ultimate tour together including Stereo Junks! Who would you love to tour with?

Anzi: The Rolling Stones

jo: Where do you see Stereo Junks in 5 years from now?

Anzi: I can't plan so far. we may have split up :) hehh If we are alive and still together as a band we are doing great cos this thing goes only up

jo: Any US plans yet?

Anzi: I would love to play there someday. One of my dreams! There's always plans let's see when it happens :)
 
jo: When are you most creative with writing lyrics and music?

Anzi:  It doesn't usually take any place or time and the best things comes when you least expect.

jo: Who is the most supportive of your career?

Anzi: myself
 
jo: Boxers, briefs or commando?

Anzi: commando

jo: If you were an animal, what kind would you be and why?

Anzi: a hawk cos i fly

jo: If you were stranded on a island what 3 items would you want to have with you?

Anzi: babe, good mood, sunshine
 
jo: What would you do if you were invisible for 24 hours?

Anzi: i would rob a bank
 
jo: Who is the wildest in the band? Why?

Anzi: i am, you'll have to come to a show to see why
 
jo: If I could grant you three wishes, what would they be?

Anzi: i can always wish but it's different, i make my wishes come true

Anzi: live fast don't die
